The Volta Regional Communication Directorate of the governing New Patriotic Party has ordered its members not to comment on the 2018 budget statement presented in parliament by Finance Minister Ken Ofor-Attah and other government related discussions until further notice.
In a communiqué released, the Directorate bemoans the treatment being meted out to them in the region by the Regional Communications Director, The Regional Minister and other government functionaries and are therefore calling on the Party to step in to save the party in the region.

We the undersigned members of the Regional Communications Team of the New Patriotic Party have resolved to boycott radio and TV discussion on the 2018 Budget Statement delivered by the Finance Minister and other government related discussions until further notice.
We have come to this painful and regrettable decision based on the treatments being meted to us by the Regional Communications Director, the Regional Minister, the Deputy Regional Minister, MDCEs and other government functionaries in the region.
We are by this communiqué drawing the party and the government’s attention to the developments in the region for quick intervention to save the party and the government in the region.
